WHO I AM AND WHAT I DO

I’ve been a dedicated practitioner of holistic medicine since 2006. I love empowering patients to understand their bodies and discover the gentle power of Eastern Medicine.

As an Alternative Medicine Practitioner, I enjoy being able to bridge the gap between holistic and western medicine while providing a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which to heal. I am always looking to integrate new treatments and therapies into my practice and believe that continued learning is important for any good Alternative Medicine Practitioner.

Eastern Medicine Practitioner

I’ve been learning about and practicing holistic medicine since 2006. I’ve studied a range of modalities and am always adding to my professional knowledge. Read more about my experience as a healer below.

Megan Perry; LAc. (Licensed Acupuncturist), MSOM (Master of Science in Oriental Medicine)

Before finding Eastern Medicine, Megan worked in Western Medicine & witnessed how most patients are offered pharmaceutical meds or surgeries. She knew in her heart that even though those were important options, there had to be more… a way to care for the person as a whole.

Megan obtained a certificate as an Energy Therapy Practitioner from Wellspring Allied Health in Kansas City. Then continued her education at Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder for Traditional Chinese Medicine, a program that taught how to offer patients well- rounded treatments with modalities of Acupuncture, Chinese herbs, moxibustion, guasha, cupping, auriculotherapy, e-stim, dietary and lifestyle recommendations.

She immersed herself in the medicine & completed its rigorous four-year program of over 3000 hours of education, in just 3 years.  She graduated in 2010 with a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. She passed the national board exams with NCCAOM, which includes Clean Needle Technique, is a member of the American Association of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine and is a Licensed Acupuncturist in Colorado. After graduation, Megan worked in the Kansas City area, specializing in prenatal, postnatal, and pediatric care. She soon decided to return to the mountains and the state she loves so much Colorado.

Megan is thrilled to have her own clinic and has given over 14,000 treatments in the past 14 years! She has a very gentle technique and enjoys treating a wide spectrum of issues from pain to anxiety.

In 2024, Megan began diving into a new specialty that really lights her up. She is so excited to incorporate her latest training in Esoteric Acupuncture. It is a complex system created by Dr. Mikio Sankey, where needles serve as antennas to attune our energetic grid when placed in geometric patterns that tap into healing frequencies. It is a wonderful in supporting those looking for a way to access quantum level information, great for releasing mental and emotional blockages, and harmonizing the mind, body and spirit connections. It can be combined with regular acupuncture sessions when progress seems to have stalled, as well as, it works great in balancing and strengthening our whole system to prevent disease from manifesting into the physical.

Megan also loves providing MicroNeedling, a facial rejuvenation technique. A focus on aesthetics was not her original plan, but in these crazy times, she feels anything she can do to help people feel better about themselves is worthwhile. She has also completed extra training in Electric Acupuncture Medicine which is a ground-breaking version of Eastern Medicine that allows her to work on nearly any condition using a limited number of needles connected to specific electric frequencies.

"My favorite thing to treat is STRESS because everyone is effected and it makes all other symptoms worse. Acupuncture is so amazing at calming the central nervous system, helping their bodies heal, their mind feels more relaxed, and they say they are better able to deal with the stressors of everyday life."

She can be found at New Leaf on Monday thru Fridays. Her schedule revolves around her 3 beautiful children and 2 dogs. She believes they contain all the love and silliness that she wishes the whole world could feel.
