Preparing for Your Treatment

Make the most of your treatments by following the guidelines below.  

Before your treatment

         
Decide the main issue you’d like to focus on (if you have more than one)
         
Complete the new patient paperwork in advance, if possible
          Prepare a copy of any relevant medical diagnosis or lab report, if possible
         
Do your best to get a good night’s rest
          Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothes if possible
          Be sure to have something to eat (don’t skip a meal)
         
Refrain from brushing your tongue (that morning only)

During your treatment

         
Breathe deeply
          Let your mind and body relax
          Think positive thoughts, meditate, or pray  Not sure how? Click here to get started. 
         
If you have any questions or concerns, let your acupuncturist know  

After your treatment

         
Drink plenty of fluids
          Don’t over exert  yourself
          Follow your acupuncturist's instructions/recommendations
